Towards NHC stabilized alkylgallium alkoxide/aryloxide cations - The advances, the limitations and the challenges

Synthesis, structure and catalytic properties of the first examples of cationic alkylgallium alkoxides and aryloxides are reported. The differences in the reactivity between dialkylgallium aryloxides and dialkylgallium alkoxides with NHCs towards methyl abstracting agents are thoroughly discussed.128
