Electron energy-loss and soft X-ray emission spectroscopy of electronic structure of MgB4

Crystal structure of MgB4 consists of one-dimensional B6 cluster chain. The electronic structure characteristic to one-dimensionality is explored by using experimental EELS and SXES measurements based on TEM and first principle calculation.282
