Magnetic and photocatalytic degradation properties of a 2D (3, 4)-connected framework based on 4,4′-(1H,1′H-2,2′-biimidazole-1,1′-diylbis(methylene))dibenzoic acid

A new Co(II) coordination polymer based on 4,4′-(1H,1′H-2,2′-biimidazole-1,1′-diylbis(methylene))dibenzoic acid and 1,4-bis(1-imidazoly)benzene ligands has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition, which shows good photocatalytic activity for the degradation of dye as well as antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent CoII ions.212
