Structural analysis of pyridine-imino boronic esters involving secondary interactions on solid state

Twelve iminoboronic esters were synthetized which include boron acid centers and N-donor ligands. Beside the presence of both acid-base Lewis, no evidence for dative NB bonds formation was observed either in solution or solid state. Nonetheless, in solid state donor/acceptor interactions involving N⋯I, Br⋯Br, Br⋯π, Br⋯B, CH⋯N, CH⋯O, Br⋯π, F⋯B and CH⋯F were observed which support 1D or 2D supramolecular frameworks.119
