Synthesis, characterization, photoluminescence, and electrochemical studies of novel mononuclear Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes with the 1-benzylimidazolium ligand

Two novel coordination complexes [Cu(bim)4Cl2]·2H2O (1) and [Zn(bim)2Cl2] (2) based on benzylimidazole have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The electrochemical behavior of the title complexes has been investigated in 4 different electrolytes.191
