The effect of thermochemical sulfate reduction on formation and isomerization of thiadiamondoids and diamondoids in the Lower Paleozoic petroleum pools of the Tarim Basin, NW China

Diamondoid concentrations and diamondoid-based maturity proxies (such as MAI) show positive correlation to the extents of thermochemical sulfate reduction (TSR), represented by thiaadamantanes (TAs) concentrations, indicating that TSR may have newly generated diamondoids and enhanced their isomerization.
