Identification and characterization of two bisabolene synthases from linear glandular trichomes of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L., Asteraceae)

Two enzymes using farnesyldiphosphate to form (Z)-γ-bisabolene were identified from the RNA pool of sunflower trichomes and characterized by heterologous expression in yeast.
