Cytotoxicity of naturally occurring rhamnofolane diterpenes from Jatropha curcas

Twelve rhamnofolane diterpenoids, together with seven known analogues, were isolated from the roots of Jatropha curcas. The dienone system in ring B was essential for cytotoxicity of these compounds.
