Farinose alpine Primula species: Phytochemical and morphological investigations

In addition to the flavonoids of internal tissues, some Primula species secrete a farinose exudate containing flavonoids on the leaf surface, also emit volatile compounds. Farinose exudate morphology and glandular trichomes are shown in SEM and LM images.
