Diarylheptanoids from the bark of black alder inhibit the growth of sensitive and multi-drug resistant non-small cell lung carcinoma cells

Ten hitherto unknown and ten known diarylheptanoids were isolated from the Alnus glutinosa bark and exhibited significant cytotoxic activities against NCI-H460 and NCI-H460/R cancer cell lines.
