Prenylated flavonoids from Desmodium caudatum and evaluation of their anti-MRSA activity

► Seven flavonoids and a chromanochroman were isolated from Desmodium caudatum. ► The anti-MRSA activity of 12 compounds was evaluated. ► Some of the tested compounds showed relatively potent anti-MRSA activity. ► The presence of a prenyl or a 2,2-dimethylpyran group was suggested to be important.
