Flavonoid and stilbenoid production in callus cultures of Artocarpus lakoocha

► Callus cultures of Artocarpus lakoocha Roxb. were established. ► Four hitherto unknown polyphenolics were isolated and structurally characterized. ► All of the secondary metabolites (prenylflavones and prenylated stilbenes) were found to be formed simultaneously during the rapid growth phase of the culture cycle.
