Phytoceramides and acylated phytosterol glucosides from Pterospermum acerifolium Willd. seed coat and their osteogenic activity

► Constituents of seed coat of Pterospermum acerifolium were investigated. ► Phytoceramides and phytosterol glucosides were isolated. ► Compounds were evaluated for osteogenic activity. ► Phytoceramides markedly stimulated osteoblast differentiation.
