Secondary metabolites from the root of Ehretia longiflora and their biological activities

► Eight compounds and 12 known compounds were isolated from the root of Ehretia longiflora. ► The relative configuration of ehretiquinone was deduced by X-ray analysis. ► Ehretiquinone and prenylhydroquinone showed antitubercular activity. ► Ehretiquinone exhibited anti-inflammatory activity.
