Procyanidin xylosides from the bark of Betula pendula

► A mixture of procyanidin xylosides was obtained from the inner bark of Betula pendula. ► A catechin-(4α → 8)-7-O-β-xylopyranosyl-catechin was isolated and characterized. ► Procyanidin xylosides were detected from dimers up to heptadecamers.
