Isolation, structure elucidation and biological activity of metabolites from Sch-642305-producing endophytic fungus Phomopsis sp. CMU-LMA

► We investigate secondary metabolites from the fungus Phomopsis sp. ► We isolate eight compounds; four of them have never been reported before. ► We elucidate the structure of the isolated compounds. ► We screen for antibiotic and cytotoxic activities. ► We propose a biosynthetic pathway for the major compound.
