Primula spectabilis Tratt. aerial parts: Morphology, volatile compounds and flavonoids

► We propose the chemical and morphological characterization of Primula spectabilis. ► Phytochemical study regards flavonoids and volatile compounds of leaves. ► Morphological analysis regards leaf and flower epidermal and trichome structures. ► Flavonoids and trichome structures seem to characterize univocally this species. ► We hypothesize a correlation between the olfactory/visible signals and pollination.
