Proteomics - The key to understanding systems biology of Arabidopsis trichomes

Several proteomics approaches have been applied to single trichome cells of Arabidopsis thaliana and the identified proteins were functionally categorized by gene ontology annotation. These annotations were integrated into transcriptomic and metabolomic studies towards a complete systems biological description of trichome performance.
