The biosynthesis of acetovanillone in tobacco cell-suspension cultures

An enzyme extracted from tobacco cell-suspension cultures 24 h after treatment with methyl jasmonate has been shown to synthesize acetovanillone from feruloyl-CoA in the presence of NAD.
