Secondary metabolites from anti-insect extracts of endophytic fungi isolated from Picea rubens

The screening of fungal endophytes of Picea rubens has resulted in extracts that showed toxicity to the forest pest Choristoneura fumiferana in dietary bioassays. Isolation of the major metabolites from three of these strains has led to the discovery of four natural products; compounds 1 and 5-7.
