Chemical diversity in the scleractinian coral Astroides calycularis

► A new aplysinopsin derivative has been isolated from the Hexacorallia Astroides calycularis. ► For the first time, orthidine derivatives were isolated from Astroides calycularis. ► Chemotaxonomical significance of orthidine derivatives is discussed.
