Clerodane diterpenoids and a trisubstituted furan from Croton oblongifolius

► A new clerodane diterpene (1) and a new trisubstituted furan (2), were isolated from the bark of Croton oblongifolius, together with six known diterpenoids (4-8). ► The structures of new compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. ► Compounds 4-7 showed broad cytotoxicity on five cancer cell lines tested.
