New sesquiterpene lactone glucosides from the roots of Ferula varia

► Eight new sesquiterpene lactone glucosides were isolated from F. varia. ► These compounds possess a cis-fused γ-lactone structure. ► The absolute configuration of 1 was determined by modified Mosher's method.
