Phytochemical and bioactivity studies on constituents of the leaves of Vitex quinata

► A new δ-truxinate derivative and a new phytonoic derivative, together with 12 known compounds were isolated from the leaves of Vitex quinata. ► The isolate (S)-5-hydroxy-7,4′-dimethoxyflavanone was found to be active against a panel of three human cancer cells in cytotoxicity assays. ► Methyl 3,4,5-O-tricaffeoyl quinate showed activity in an enzyme-based ELISA NF-κB p65 assay.
