Induced insolubility of electrospun poly(N-vinylcaprolactam) fibres through hydrogen bonding with Tannic acid

• Tannic acid crosslinked PVCl hybrid was prepared
• The resultant hybrids are insoluble in water.
• The PVCL/TA nanofiber mats fabricated through a facile one-step procedure.
• This work provides a platform for potential use of these novel PVCL nanofibers for applications as biomedical scaffolds.
