The influence of cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL), and dioctyl phthalate (DOP), on rheological, mechanical and electrical properties of styrene butadiene styrene tri-block copolymer (SBS) mixed with polyaniline doped with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (Pani.DBSA) was evaluated using a statistical approach. An empirical statistical model was developed to characterize the most important effects on the electrical properties of the mixtures. Results reveal that both plasticizers exert strong influence on mechanical and electrical resistivity of the mixtures and that addition of CNSL is more beneficial to mechanical and electrical properties than addition of DOP. Spectrometric techniques, as electron paramagnetic ressonance (EPR) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), were used to explain the observed results.
