Porphyrins with exocyclic rings. Part 19: Efficient syntheses of phenanthrolinoporphyrins

Syntheses of phenanthrolinoporphyrins have been developed using tripyyrane intermediate with a central phenantholinopyrrole component. Alternative procedures are also reported for the synthesis of diphenanthrolino-porphyrins and a triphenanthrolinoporphyrin.
