Acceleration of CuI-catalyzed coupling reaction of alkyl halides with aryl Grignard reagents using lithium chloride

- LiCl was found to accelerate the Cu-catalyzed coupling of alkyl-Br and aryl-MgBr.
- The reaction proceeds well with sterically congested aryl-MgBr.
- LiCl accelerated the Cu-catalyzed coupling of alkyl-Br and alkyl-MgBr as well.
- Olivetol dimethyl ether for the syntheses of cannabinoids was synthesized.
