N-arylation of indoles with aryl halides using copper/glycerol as a mild and highly efficient recyclable catalytic system

- Glycerol as a green, environmentally benign, safe, and nontoxic reaction media.
- Variety of aryl halides gave corresponding N-aryl heterocycles using CuI catalyst.
- The copper/glycerol catalytic system was efficiently recycled up to four runs.
