Applying Sanderson rules to the formation reaction of hydrogen-bonded dimers

► DNA basis dimers formation can be understood by using Sanderson's additivity rules. ► We propose an additivity scheme for dual index at hydrogen-bonded dimers. ► Donor and acceptor fragments that contribute to the total dual index are identified as coming from each specific base of the dimer.
