Beyond conventional N-heterocyclic silylenes: A density functional approach toward structural features and catalytic applications

► We introduce novel silylenes enjoying stabilizing effect of only one heteroatom. ► Cyclization and unsaturation of acyclic species are investigated. ► Aminoalkylsilylenes are weaker nucleophiles than N-heterocyclic silylenes.
