Site-specific recoil effect in hard X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of the valence band of compound crystals

►We study theoretically the recoil effect of the hard X-ray valence band photoemission. ► In compounds with mass differences, the photoelectron spectrum shows site-sellective recoil shifts.
