X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy study of electron and spatial structure of mono- and binuclear Ni(II) carboxylate complexes with nitrogen-containing ligands

► Ni3s, Ni3p and Ni2p XPS of mono- and binuclear Ni carboxylate complexes are recorded. ► The spectra are calculated in an isolated-ion approximation. ► The spectra are sensitive to the geometry of the nearest environment of the Ni ions.
