Lifetime broadening of core-excited and -ionized states

► Ultrahigh resolution ion yield and XPS spectra of gas-phase species were recorded. ► We analyzed the spectra using least-squares fitting procedures. ► Natural lifetime broadenings have been extracted from the above analysis. ► We provide a list of up-to-date atomic/molecular core-level lifetime broadenings.
