Rotationally resolved fluorescence excitation spectrum produced through photoexcitation of the coupled c′4(0) and b′(1) states of N2

▶ Rotationally resolved fluorescence excitation spectra (FES) of N2 in the EUV region obtained. ▶ Strongly coupled c′4(0) and the b′(1) states of N2 studied. ▶ Strong local rotational perturbation between the c′4(0) and the b′(1) states occurs at J′ = 10 and 11. ▶ The c′4(0) state predominantly radiates back to the ground electronic state.
