Orientation of n-alkane in thin films on graphite (0Â 0Â 0Â 1) studied using C K-NEXAFS

▶ Thin films of n-C12H26 are grown on graphite (0 0 0 1). ▶ Signals from the films are distinguished at σCH*/R region in the C K-NEXAFS spectra. ▶ CCC plane is parallel to the substrate in a first layer and inclined in multilayers.
