Emission of double core infrared (CdSeTe)/ZnS quantum dots conjugated to antibodies

► The conjugation of double core CdSe(Te)/ZnS QDs to anti-Interleukin-10 antibodies has been studied. ► The shift of PL spectrum is detected in bioconjugated CdSe(Te)/ZnS QDs. ► The set of electronic effects are proposed for the explanation of PL spectrum shift. ► The electric field applied to bioconjugated QDs is created by the charge of antibodies. ► Energy diagrams of nonconjugated and bioconjugated QDs have been designed.
