Colloidal lead sulfide nanocrystals with strong green emission

► Facile colloidal technique was used to synthesize PbS nanocrystals. ► Synthesized sample has strong green emission that has not been reported before. ► Time evolution of green emission has shown that the synthesized sample has long time stability in its optical properties. ► The obtained results confirmed that the synthesized sample has high potential for medical applications.
