New greenish-yellow and yellowish-green emitting glass phosphors: Tb3+/Eu3+ and Ce3+/Tb3+/Eu3+ in zinc phosphate glasses

► Zn(PO3)2 glasses are optically activated with Tb3+/Eu3+ (ZPO5Tb2Eu) and Ce3+/Eu3+/Tb3+ (ZPOCe5Tb2Eu). ► Non-radiative energy transfer Tb3+→Eu3+ takes place in ZPO5Tb2Eu. ► Greenish-yellow light is generated by ZPO5Tb2Eu pumped with 340 nm-UV light. ► Non-radiative energy transfer Ce3+→Tb3+ and Ce3+→Eu3+ via Tb3+ takes place in ZPOCe5Tb2Eu. ► Yellowish-green light is generated by ZPOCe5Tb2Eu pumped with 280 nm-UV light (AlGaN-LEDs).
