Fluorescence anion sensors based on combination of conformational restriction and photo-induced electron transfer

► Six fluorescence and colorimetric anion sensors based on azo derivatives were showed. ► Azo group and di-benzene unit acted as a chromophore and a fluorophore respectively. ► Combination of conformational restriction and PET was exploited as fluorescence mechanism.
