Ground- and excited-state absorption and emission spectroscopy of Nd:GGG

► Complete emission and excited-state absorption spectra are reported for the first time. ► No ESA occurs at the main emission lines around 1062 and 1410 nm. ► ESA does occur around the emission line at 1331 nm.
