Crystal structure and photoluminescence of (Ba1−x−ySryEux)9Sc2Si6O24

► Green (Ba1−x−ySryEux)9Sc2Si6O24 phosphors were synthesized by a solid-state reaction. ► Emission wavelength of (Ba1−x−ySryEux)9Sc2Si6O24 is successfully tuned from 506 nm to 526 nm by substituting Ba2+ with Sr2+ ions. ► Two emission bands correspond to different Eu2+ crystallographic sites.
