Auger-free luminescence due to interatomic p-d transition and self-trapped exciton luminescence in Rb2ZnCl4 crystals

► Studied Auger-Free (AF) and self-trapped exciton (STE) luminescence in Rb2ZnCl4. ► Found AF luminescence due to interatomic p-d transitions in halide crystals for the first time. ► Clarified the STE luminescence in this crystal for the first time.
