Lyoluminescence properties of γ-irradiated and Dy 3+ activated (K0.5 Na0.5)Cl phosphors for accidental radiation dosimetry

► The LL intensities are found to be dependent on concentrations of Dy3+ ion. ► The LL intensities are found to be dependent on γ-rays radiation dose. ► Dose response of (KNa)Cl:Dy(0.1 mol%) is observed linear between 0.08 and 5.00 kGy. ► The prepared material may be useful for radiation dosimetry.
