Fluorescence behavior of glutathione capped CdTe@ZnS quantum dots chemically coordinated to zinc octacarboxy phthalocyanines

► CdTe@ZnS quantum dots capped with glutathione were synthesized. ► The quantum dots were chemically linked to zinc octacarboxy phthalocyanine. ► The fluorescence quantum yields of the quantum dots decreased on conjugation. ► Fluorescence lifetimes also decreased due to energy transfer.
