Thermal dependence of time-resolved blue light stimulated luminescence in α-Al2O3:C

► New time-resolved OSL experiments in Al2O3:C using 470 nm LEDs. ► A new type of thermally assisted effect for stimulation temperature between 50 and 150 °C. ► Thermal quenching parameters extracted from data in optical stimulation and relaxation periods. ► TR-OSL curves fitted at different stimulation temperatures using analytical expressions. ► Luminescence lifetimes are systematically higher than reported from PL studies.
