Optical characterization of Er3+and Yb3+ co-doped barium fluorotellurite glass

► Spectroscopic studies of Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped fluorotellurite glass have been carried out. ► Spectral bandwidth of the ∼1570 nm emission of Er3+ is found to be ∼82 nm. ► Bandwidth at ∼1570 nm emission is broader compared to germanate, silicate, and phosphate glasses.
