Photoluminescence properties of Pb2+ doped M2Mg(BO3)2 (M=Sr, Ba)

► We have synthesized two novel inorganic borate phosphors for the first time. ► Sr2Mg(BO3)2: Pb2+ and Ba2Mg(BO3)2: Pb2+ phosphors emit at 330 and 381 nm, respectively. ► Consequently, they are promising phosphors for UV lamp phosphors.
