Preparation and characterization of Tb3+ and Tb(sal)3·nH2O doped PC:PMMA blend

► Blend formation is confirmed at PC/90PMMA, using FTIR and DSC techniques. ► Absorption and bandgap studies of blend and parent components were studied. ► Optical properties of Tb and Tb(sal)3·nH2O complex have been studied in PC/PMMA blend. ► Luminescence decay curves confirm non-radiative energy transfer from Sal to Tb3+ ions.
