Low-temperature photoluminescence of II-VI films obtained by close-spaced vacuum sublimation

► CdTe and ZnTe films were deposited at various substrate temperatures. ► Photoluminescence spectra of films were investigated at 4.1-4.7 K. ► Analysis of the luminescence peaks had been carried out. ► Dominating point defects in II-VI films were defined.
